Dove’s Campaign for Real Beauty ~ Why isn’t it contagious?
I was so pleased when Dove launched its “Campaign for Real Beauty.”
For once, a major company was admitting that women aren’t perfect… and that’s okay! They still have money, they still buy stuff. And they still are beautiful.
It’s been a while since the Campaign took off.
And I’m saddened to see that it hasn’t been contagious.
Look throughout your women’s magazines. See anything like the Dove thing?
Maybe other organizations just aren’t willing to try it. Or maybe they’re thinking that it’s already been done. But, man, I’d like to see more businesses step outside “traditional” thinking and advertise to US.
