Some fascinating eating disorder poll results…
I haven’t yet “advertised” the poll regarding clothing size that you can find to the right of this page, along the sidebar.
But now that we’ve hit over 100 participants, I’d like to say that I’m surprised by the findings.
It would seem that roughly 75% of visitors to Breaking the Mirror are between a size 0 and a size 10. This seems significant to me because the average American woman wears a size 12-14.
This tells me that many readers may suffer from body dysmorphic disorder. (I definitely can relate, by the way. I’m a size 2-4 but see myself as very chubby and flabby.)
If you haven’t yet voted in the poll, I encourage you to do so. Perhaps I’m not getting the full picture here…!
